Amazing

The predictions of gloom, doom and impending disaster at the hands of Global Warming have all been based on the computer models of what some scientists believe could happen under the right circumstances.

In 2003, actual scientific instruments were placed throughout the world’s oceans to take actual scientific measurements and make actual scientific determinations. The problem is, the 3000 robotic instruments are reporting back the good news that the oceans are not warming, as predicted, and are actually reporting an insignificant (read: not dangerous) amount of cooling.

Wait a second. I said, “the problem is” – but why is this a problem? Got me–again, it sounds like great news to us. But to the true believers at Global Warming Scaremonger Central, this is not a positive development. It’s a major problem. Unlike the world the rest of us live in, which is evidently doing just fine, the world they occupy actually is falling apart at the seams.

The fact that their actual real world tests, conducted with that real-life scientific equipment I mentioned, are producing actual scientific data in direct contradiction with their predictions has these scientists in full blown tizzies. After all, they’ve staked their futures on outrageous proclamations they’ve made based on their computer models that they just knew were right. This actual, real world data cannot possibly be more accurate than their projections dammit! (I think they’ve forgotten the basic computer programming principle of Garbage In/Garbage Out.)

This National Public Radio article on the subject provides a great illustration of the tortured logic and hilarious intellectual goose chase the Global Warming Pending Doomsday Scenario peddlers will engage in to try to explain away what is obvious to even the most casual observer. Funny stuff…albeit infuriating.
